Our Operations

We partner with local organizations and communities to deliver our locally rooted programmes, using evidence to drive learning and the refinement and scale up of programmes to create maximum impact for the most underprivileged children and disabled people at the lowest cost. We pride ourselves on being willing to go to the district’s toughest places where others won’t, including remote, hard-to-reach areas and fragile, disaster-affected areas across the province.

Area of Operations

Our focus in 2023, is particularly the northern part of Afghanistan. which are mainly:

  • EDUCATION:

We travel to the farthest parts of cities and villages in order for people to get education, which is one of their basic rights. Besides, we also work for people who need help in education in a crisis situation according to our emergency plans. We will be working closely with the Ministry of Education to ensure that all children are enrolled in school as soon as possible.

  • WATER, SANITATION, AND HYGIENE:

Our WASH approach prioritizes children, teenagers and adult. We provide a balanced approach to hygiene promotion and WASH infrastructure construction activities.

  • CAPACITY BUILDING:

Build sustainable growth through influence and thought leadership. We also assist people in getting back on their feet and investing in the growth of their businesses in order to fortify the connections between rural areas and the wider economy. Together with people in the area, we come up with plans that make it easier for women and people with disabilities to start microbusinesses.

  • GENDER VIOLENCE:

Recent political unrest in Afghanistan has magnified an already dangerous situation for women. TEDHO argues that humanitarian efforts cannot be successful unless women and girls participate in all aspects of human development, including economic and social.

  • EMERGENCY RESPONSE:

Helping those who have been displaced from their homes due to natural disasters or war, as well as the communities they are staying in and the people they have returned to.

  • Priority

Humans who actually need help and are in the most difficult condition of life because of natural and non-natural calamity form our highest priority.
